INTRODUCTION
Following the success of Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (abbreviated name VILOG) organized by Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and VINEXAD in 2023, under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The second Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition will be held from August 1-3, 2024. This event promises to be an extremely important opportunity for domestic and foreign logistics service businesses, as well as related communities such as investors and shippers, to meet, cooperate, consult and choose optimal solutions to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.
In the context of international integration and sustainable development trends, green logistics is increasingly growing strongly and becoming a trend that attracts the attention of the logistics industry, with characteristics that provide dual environmental and economic benefits for businesses, while meeting customer needs and national policies on environmental protection. Therefore, green skills training in the field of Logistics and SCM is becoming more crucial than ever, especially in the context where ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria are increasingly valued. Green skills training for human resources in the fields of Logistics and SCM not only brings environmental benefits but also enhances competitiveness and helps businesses better adapt to a global market increasingly focused on ESG principles.
For these reasons, the fourth Vietnam Logistics Human Resource Education & Training Forum (VLET) is organized within the framework of VILOG 2024 by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI) and Viet Nam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA). The conference themed “Green Skills Training for Logistics and SCM human resources – linked with ESG” will serve as a gathering point connecting businesses and training institutions to share knowledge, experiences, and the latest trends in green skills and sustainable practices within the global supply chain.
