At the Closing Ceremony of the FIATA World Congress 2025, held on October 9, 2025, the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI) were honored to receive the Revalidation Certificate for the quality of curriculum and training capability for two prestigious programs licensed by FIATA – the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations: the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding (FD) and the FIATA Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management (FHD).

This certification is periodically reviewed, assessed, and approved by FIATA to ensure that FIATA training programs in each member country continuously meet international standards in terms of curriculum, teaching methods, and the competency of instructors.
The revalidation awarded to VLA/VLI is a clear recognition of the quality, reputation, and professionalism of logistics training in Vietnam. It also affirms the country’s position and role in developing a highly skilled logistics workforce. Under the management of VLA, VLI is the sole institution in Vietnam authorized by FIATA to implement the two training programs: the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding (FD) and the FIATA Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management (FHD). Over the years, VLI’s training efforts have enabled hundreds of graduates to become experts, managers, and lecturers in freight forwarding, transportation, and supply chain management, contributing significantly to the professionalization of Vietnam’s logistics industry.
The FIATA Diploma is one of the most prestigious international qualifications in freight forwarding and logistics. It not only demonstrates professional competence but also serves as a “career passport,” enabling holders to work in any of FIATA’s more than 150 member associations worldwide. Meanwhile, the FIATA Higher Diploma (FHD) targets senior managers, providing deeper insights into supply chain strategy, operational optimization, and leadership skills in a globalized environment. Together, the two programs form a comprehensive training pathway, helping Vietnam meet domestic needs while aligning with international standards.
The Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) serves as the official representative of Vietnam within FIATA and is responsible for guiding and ensuring the training quality of the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI). For over a decade, VLA and VLI have worked closely with FIATA, continuously updating curricula, strengthening instructor capacity, and expanding training opportunities for businesses, students, and organizations in the logistics sector. The 2025 revalidation is not only a testament to their continuous efforts but also a milestone in elevating the quality of Vietnam’s logistics human resources to meet international standards.
The Revalidation Certificate Awarding Ceremony at the FIATA World Congress 2025 Closing Ceremony marks a significant milestone not only for VLA and VLI but also for the entire Vietnamese logistics industry. It reflects the international community’s confidence in Vietnam’s training, management, and integration capabilities while opening new opportunities for cooperation among global logistics organizations, enterprises, and academic institutions. With this certification, VLI reaffirms its commitment to advancing and spreading the value of FIATA programs in Vietnam—aiming to train a professional, internationally qualified logistics workforce that meets the demands of an integrated and sustainable economy.
