4. Course Contents
Module 1: SECURITY IN THE TRANSPORTATION CHAIN
Overview of security considerations throughout the transportation chain, including the roles and responsibilities of relevant stakeholders in protecting cargo and maintaining the integrity of transportation operations.
Module 2: MARINE RISKS AND LOSS ASSESSMENT
Introduction to major marine risks, their causes and consequences, as well as the principles and methods used to assess and quantify cargo loss or damage.
Module 3: CARGO INSURANCE IN TRANSPORTATION
Overview of cargo insurance, its role in managing transportation risks, key insurance principles, coverage, exclusions, and the responsibilities of relevant parties in cargo insurance arrangements.
Module 4: LOSS AND ALLOCATION OF LOSS
Understanding different types of cargo loss and the principles governing the assessment and allocation of losses arising during transportation, including the relevant responsibilities of the parties involved.
